Congratulations to Lundgaard Laboratory Postdoctoral Fellow and primary applicant Dr. Kelley M. Swanberg with Postdoctoral Fellow and project member Dr. Jari Jukkola for their recent grant of 350 000 SEK by Stiftelsen Thelma Zoégas fond för medicinsk forskning to validate a new method for noninvasively observing glymphatic solute clearance in the brain with “Ett icke-invasivt mätbart metaboliskt tecken på glymfatisk aktivitet i hjärnan.” This project aims to develop a novel method that exploits the potential of vivo proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H MRS) to observe solute clearance by the glymphatic system in both preclinical animal models and human participants!
