Dr. Marios Kritsilis has successfully defended his dissertation ‘Cerebrospinal fluid circulation and the glymphatic system in health and disease‘ in a lively and enriching debate with faculty opponent Rune Enger, Professor of Neuroscience at the University of Oslo in Norway. This work uses a wide array of imaging techniques, including two-photon, confocal and light-sheet microscopy as well as magnetic resonance to probe the mechanisms and effects of dysregulated fluid dynamics in varied preclinical models of cardiovascular health and disruption. Dr. Kritsilis was advised by both Dr. Iben Lundgaard and Dr. Anja Meissner in this work. Congratulations, Dr. Kritsilis!
