Congratulations to Lundgaard Laboratory Postdoctoral Fellow and primary applicant Dr. Kelley M. Swanberg with co-applicant Dr. Tekla Kylkilahti for their recent grant of 300 000 SEK by Crafoordska stiftelsen to extend to humans a novel preclinically developed method for noninvasively observing glymphatic solute clearance in the brain with “Ett icke-invasivt mätbart metaboliskt tecken på glymfatisk aktivitet i hjärnan.” This project aims to develop a novel method that exploits the potential of vivo proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H MRS) to observe solute clearance by the glymphatic system in both preclinical animal models and human participants!
