Yasaman is from the ancient country of Iran and is a medical doctor fascinated by neuroimaging and neurosurgical procedures. She came all the way to Sweden to pursue this passion in a research environment focused on the glymphatic system, and she is especially interested in dedicating the coming years to research on Alzheimer’s disease.

Back home, Yasaman quite enjoyed mountain climbing, but after moving to Sweden, she switched to cycling, mostly because the mountains seem to be missing here. She also likes the Swedish language and tries to communicate in Swedish whenever she gets the chance.

And if you ever smell rice and saffron in the office, you can be fairly sure Yasaman is there that day.
